We all know the rule: Plan the Trade, Trade the Plan.
A weekly chart of Great Xpectations PCLN. And the story of a man with a plan.
I received an email last week from a man who studied with me. He liked his job but wanted to understand how the stock market worked.
Last year he gave his financial planner 10 stocks with the instructions to buy over the 50 week moving average and put a stop under the 50 week moving average, and to trail a stop up if price moved up.
The results for the year were that 2 of the stocks did go up and G. B. informed me that his profits at the end of the year almost equaled what he earned all year at his job. His job provided health benefits for his family and built up his IRA. He spent zero hours worrying about what the market was doing and PCLN was one of the two stocks that he profited from, an idea from one of the first Trade Letters. He is enjoying being the CFO.
