Free information is available on the internet.
Trading your own account is not for everyone. Managing your own money IS. If you do not think it is important for you to watch your money, whose job should it be? No excuses about too little time and not enough know how. If you do not have time to watch your own accounts, you soon may not have any accounts to watch. You can educate yourself about investing. The internet is a cornucopia of free information. Part of our mission here is to help people take control of their own money.
An investment account that a professional money manger is hired to look after also deserves your attention. You have on-line access to your account information whether it is with a broker or a managed account or your retirement fund at work. It is YOUR money. LOOK at it. Some people track their stock investments every day, and some might check once a month. Checking in only once in five years will not cut it. I think once a week is good, even if all you do is check the bottom line. Paper Trading Journal and our paper trading sites are helpful tools.
I know that I will begin to sound like a broken CD, but you must take the time to know what your money is doing. THERE IS NO MAGIC PLAN! You cannot build wealth on some automatic trading system that does the work for you. The ones selling this to you are the ones making money selling it to you.
