Some things do well when the dollar is strong and other things do well when the dollar is weak. Ours is not to ask 'why' but 'what' and then TraderDoc Technical Trading tells us 'when'.

When interest rates fall, the dollar rises. We see evidence of this in the rise of the dollar from 1995 to 2001 when we had a ‘liquid’ policy, low rates. When interest rates rise, the dollar falls. Prices fluctaute. The lower dollar has been a benefit for domestic companies that sell overseas. There is more demand for our products when the dollar is lower.
